About Our Guest
Raywat Deonandan, PhD, is an Epidemiologist and Associate Professor with the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa, as well as a Senior Fellow at Massey College, University of Toronto. An award-winning novelist and journalist, Deonandan became recognizable in national and international media during the COVID-19 pandemic, appearing in over 2000 newspaper, television, radio, and podcast interviews. He continues to advise government, media, community groups, and the private sector on matters pertaining to the pandemic, and on how to communicate public health challenges to a variety of audiences.
